1st Award: October 21, 1983. Citation:For exceptionally meritorious achievement and
outstanding performance of duty as a noncommissioned officer, SGT Geer displayed a highly professional attitude while
attending the Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course. During the period 15 September 1983 to 21 October 1983, SGT Geer's
demonstrated abilities throughout the course were an example for others to emulate. His strong desire to excel, his
willingness to assist others, his initiative and superior leadership ability, earned him the respect of his superiors
and peers alike, resulting in his being selected the Distinguished Graduate of the Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course,
Class 83-08. SGT Geer's accomplishments reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Army. |

during the period of Dec 1989 to February 1990 while deployed in Panama. from 23 December 1989 to 27 March 1990. |
3rd Award: July 1, 1993 Citation:For meritorious service as a Platoon Sergeant in 3d Battalion 17th Infantry and as an Assistant
Operation NCO in 3d Brigade. Staff Sergeant Geer's outstanding performance was an example for all of his peers to follow. His exemplary

1st Award: January 15, 1987 Citation:For Meritorious service while serving as a TOW Section Leader,
E company, 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry (Mechanized), 2d Infantry Division from 3 February 1986 to 2 February 1987. During this
period Staff Sergeant GEER participated in numerous major field exercises, to include the battalion EXEVAL, Team Spirit 1986 and
the DeMilitarized Zone mission. Staff Sergeant Geer displayed tactical and technical proficiency which contributed significantly
to his unit's combat readiness. Staff Sergeant GEER'S outstanding performance of duty is in keeping ith the finest traditions of

Navy Achievement Medal
Awarded: February 19, 1993. Citation For professional achievement in the superior performance of his duties while serving as the Army Liaison Coordinator at the Naval
Postgraduate School, Monterey, California from September 1991 to February 1992. Staff Sergeant Geer consistantly performed hsi duties in an exemplary and highly professional manner. He increased the awareness of army
issues in Army officer students by starting a monthly newsletter for the Army group leaders and disseminating critical information on Army drawdown programs. On behalf of 150 Army students, Staff Sergeant Geer effectively
coordinated officer personel issues with members of the staff at the Naval Postgraduate School, with Headquarters, Department of the Army, with the Defense Language Institute, and with the Soldier Support Center, Fort Benjamin Harrison,
Indiana. By his exceptional professional ability, vast initiative, and loyal dedication to duty, Staff Sergeant Geer refelcted credit upon himself and upheld the highest traditions of the United States Armed Forces.
