The Raymondville Volunteer Fire Department currently owns six vehicles: A 1965 pumper, a 1976 Chevrolet brush truck, a
1989 Ford mini-attack pumper, a 1980 Chevrolet C-70 1,000-gallon tanker, a 1985 brush truck, and a 1992 Ford ambulance which is
used as a support vehicle (the RVFD is not licensed to transport patients).
All six vehicles are housed in a new firehouse in Raymondville which was built in 2003 and was paid for with a zero-interest loan
through Rural Development and the Intercounty Electric Cooperative. In 2004,
the RVFD received a grant from FEMA, which enabled them to purchase personal
protective equipment (burnout gear) for their fire fighters as well as ten scuba units and spare bottles. In 2005, the RVFD received
a SEMA interoperability grant for new radio equipment.
They have fifteen active volunteer fire fighters. Membership fees are due on July 1 of every year.
Fees are $30/year for residential dwellings and $45/year for businesses. Dues should be paid to the following address:

This is a social club that has been around since the late 1930's. Meetings are held once a
month with a Pot Luck Dinner for members at different member's homes.
This is by no means a complete listing of all the clubs and organizations in Raymondville. If you live in or near
Raymondville and are a member of a club or organization not listed on this page,
please let me know and I'll be more than happy to add it to this page. Also, if your name is mentioned on this page and you have an E-mail
address and would like it placed on here, I'll be more than happy to add that information as well. Also, if your club or organization would like its
own Web page on here, I'll be happy to add that to the site, too.
