Welcome

Red Rose About Me :
Linda Mondy
I am a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, the Jamestowne Society, Descendants of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence, the National Huguenot Society, and the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. I just love researching family histories. I taught Jr. High English in the public schools for fourteen years. I am currently an Elementary Counselor and an Elementary Librarian.

I am compiling a book about the people of Licking, MO, and would love your contributions.   I would like photos, obits, documents, census records, or stories about the families who have lived in the area.  Anything sent should be copies only, as I will not be able to return them. Basically, I want anything that will keep the memories of these people alive for their descendants. I would like to know physical descriptions, occupations, military experience and honors, religion, children, ancestors, etc. I want these people to really be "Gone but not Forgotten." If you have documented your information with sources, I would like to be able to include that also.

My plan is to compile the first volume around the people buried in the Licking City Cemetery and their families.  If all goes well, volume two will center around the people buried in the Boone Creek Cemetery.

I am posting the names of the individuals I am currently researching at the www.findagrave.com website.  Just do a search for the Licking Cemetery and you will be able to see the names.  I am posting these a few at a time, so check back often.

Please contact me for more details about this project.
